Enter your stellar team in the 2008 Heart Run. Teams must have a minimum of 5 participants, and there's no maximum!  Awards are given to recognize the fastest teams, the team which raises the most money, and to the largest team in the following categories: 

OPEN - friends, family, religious and social groups
CORPORATE - co-workers, their families & friends
SCHOOL - public or private education groups

How do I create a team and sign us up?

First of all choose your team name. If you are doing paper entries simply write in your team name on each entry. If you are doing online registration, your first online registrant can create a new team. Be sure they have the Team Captain's name, email, and phone number. You can also email the heart run's team coordinator with the Team Captain's name, email, and phone number and it will be set up for you.

Now you are ready to sign up team members and you have three options (you can use one or all three):

    1. You can email the heart runs volunteer Team Coordinator to have paper entries mailed to you, down load a PDF of the Heart Race Entry Form , or pick up a stack at various businesses around town including any Kaladi Brothers Coffee or local sports Shop. Mail those entries to the American Heart Association at 3700 Woodland Dr., Suite 700 Anchorage, AK 99517 before April 19th and you or your team members individually can pick up their bibs at the bib pickup event.     2. Let your team members know your team name and ask them to enter online individually or in family groups. Don't worry if different family members are on different teams - the entry form allows that. This is the cleanest entry because you don't have to collect signed waivers or payments, you can just go to our online roster whenever you want and see who has been added to your team.     3. You can enter your team on a spreadsheet and email it as a tab deliminated text file to the team coordinator. Remember that if you do a mass team entry you will need to mail a check or credit card information to make one team payment to American Heart Association 3700 Woodland Dr., Suite 700 Anchorage, AK 99517. You can collect and mail all your team's waivers with your payment. If payment is not recieved before the April 19, 2007 registration, you will need to collect all the waivers from your team members and exchange the waivers and payment BY CHECK OR CASH (no credit cards) for all your teams bibs at bib pickup. It is important to communicate to your team that you will have all the bibs so they are not looking for them at the individual counters.

Can I pick up my teams bibs together?

Yes, all team entry recieved before April 19st hard copy or online will be printed in a team roster and available at bib pickup. If you are dropping off a large packet of handwritten entries - as a courtesy please give us at least three days before bib pickup to hand enter everything and generate a roster for you. You can still pick up bibs one at a time for entries after these dates but they won't be printed on your roster.
